The County Show Newsletter

Dear Member,

Where does the time go? The year just seems to be flying past, it doesn’t seem long ago that we all seemed to be growing webbed feet with all the rain we seemed to be having. Now we seem to be veering from high temperatures to howling gales and yet more rain, still at least we shouldn’t have to deal with another hosepipe ban this year!!
Our flagship event, the County Show is well underway with entertainments booked, one of my personal favourites, The Sheepshow returns along with his Racing Sheep, a new addition for them. Other attractions include Adam’s Axemen, Wight Wizards dog Agility & Flyball and for the adrenaline junkies of you a motorbike and quad bike display called The Adrenaline Show

This of course is alongside all the usual attractions of the livestock which this year sees the return of pigs after an absence of several years, the Equestrian side has some new driving qualifiers, tractors, Parade of Hounds, Craft Marquee, Food Hall, Terrier Racing, gosh the list just goes on and on.
Schedules for both the Equestrian and Livestock sections are out at all the usual outlets or from the Office,or you can download them from the website.

Returning this year as well is the Horticultural Marquee complete with a Garden Show (see competition page), also in here will be the Photographic Competition.

Keep an eye on the local press for more details as I just haven’t got room to list everything here! I really look forward to seeing you all up there let’s just hope the weather is kinder to us this year……!!!!!
